The gift of life.
This is a wedding that I have been so excited to post on the blog! Haley reached out to me about THREE weeks prior to the wedding about booking me to photograph it. Typically, I meet by brides over coffee and we chat for a while before we decide if we vibe, etc. And, I don’t pass up coffee.
Haley booked me over the phone! She was so certain that I was the one that she wanted to capture her day and that meant so much to me. As Haley and I talked about the wedding, I knew that we were going to be the perfect fit for each other. Now, if you know me, you know that I love BOHO! Well, Haley described her wedding as just that, “Boho”! She began explaining that the center pieces were going to be succulents, etc.
You guys, YES! Just yes. David and Haley were so pleasant to work with and their day was absolutely stunning!
Leave these two some love! <3
‘And so it is, just like you said it would be.’
Kevin + Katie
September 02, 2018
When I met Katie for the first time, I knew that her wedding was going to be nothing shy of magical. Katie is so sweet, so talented and did I mention that she knows how to work the camera?! It doesn’t hurt that she’s absolutely beautiful! Kevin and Katie met within the film industry, both are very talented and so dedicated to their careers, but also to their love for each other.
Wait- before I go in, does Kevin remind you of anyone? Perhaps, Jake Gyllenhaal?! Yes, he does. You’re right! Moving on, Katie may be familiar to you, as well. While chasing her dreams, Katie has been featured in popular Netflix series, House of Cards and has even appeared in a Tyler Perry film. Again, she and Kevin are both so very driven and talented.
I knew that their wedding was going to be full of energy and just as entertaining as the two of them are. These two married at Three Oaks Farm in Lagrange, Georgia. The day was a dream and all flowed together so perfectly.
I hope that you love these images as much as I do.
Cheers to Kevin and Katie!
I was absolutely thrilled when Katie reached out me yet AGAIN following her amazing Maternity Session; however, this time the session was a little different. Haven Rose has made her arrival and is such a dream! Katie asked me to do a ‘Lifestyle Newborn’ session within their home for a more intimate setting, to allow me to truly capture their moments within the family home.
Haven Rose is a ‘rainbow baby’ and we know that her heavenly brother is watching over her every moment of every day.
Katie, you are an amazing mother and your family is blessed. Thank you so much for allowing myself to capture these beautiful moments for your family. I cannot wait to watch Haven blossom.
Enjoy these photos, friends!
Ty + Summer
June 23, 2018
Where do I begin? I feel like I have been able to be on this entire journey with these two from engagement to marriage, and I suppose that I have. I was so and still am honored that Summer chose me to document and to capture all of their moments from capturing their engagement at the spot that she said Yes!
I knew that Ty and Summer were going to be so much fun when they told me that we were doing the engagement session with cows! If you know me, you know that I love animals (any and all!)
I warned them in advance that I would be photographing the cows, as well. Ha!
Ty and Summer are both such a joy and both have a fun spirit to be around.
Summer, thank you for being such an amazing client and bride.
I am so grateful that you chose me and entrusted me with these moments within your life.
I cannot wait to see the two of you continue to blossom!
Enjoy these images which are a mix of the engagement session + wedding!
The first image is the spot where Ty popped the question!
Dear Mama, you are going to ROCK motherhood!
There is something absolutely magical about capturing these moments for a new mother, or simply a mother adding to her tribe. Capturing this special phase of motherhood is most definitely a muse of mine- I LOVE it. So, bring me all of the mama's, okay?!
Let's talk Katie, this beautiful mama to be! Katie reached out to me asking that I capture this time in her life for her, but she also asked that we add a special touch for her rainbow son that gained his heavenly wings at only twenty weeks. I didn't hesitate as I knew I wanted to make this as special for Katie as I possibly could.
Katie and I tossed ideas around and came to the conclusion that we would hand paint a rainbow on her beautiful pregnant belly, which we did and it was magical.
If you're reading this, I hope that it moves you, inspires you and fulfills you.
So, let's talk MILESTONES!
For Mama's, we all know how important it is for milestones celebrating growth to be captured.
Let me point out that I am so excited to see milestone portraits for children simply being celebrated by having the family together, purely candid and loving each other.
Hannah contacted me regarding photographing Staley's "Six Month" portraits and I was so excited.
How did we celebrate this milestone? By having a sweet, candid family session. Staley was able to wear a dress that Hannah wore as a child. I mean, how precious!
So, when you consider having portraits for milestones, consider having those done as a family while celebrating and loving on each other.
Such sweet and tender moments.
Enjoy a few of the images from the session!
Where do I begin?! I believe the best way to describe Clay and Brittany's big day is "Big LOVE, small wedding". Clay and Brittany had a very small, intimate and yet stunning wedding. It's actually the wedding of my dreams!
Brittany reached out to me only a few weeks prior to their big day, we instantly hit it off! Brittany and I talked over the phone, set up a coffee date (because I love coffee) and after our two hour meeting, I immediately felt like I had a new friend. Let me stop you there, that's one major thing that I love about this business- the FRIENDSHIPS! I have made some wonderful friendships throughout this journey and I am so thankful. And yes, I said two hours. We could not stop chatting and we enjoyed our coffee over conversation for TWO hours.
Brittany filled me in on the story of how she and Clay met, fell in love and were now well on their way to becoming one. Do you want to know the one thing that made me adore this girl even more? Her fire for Jesus! Actually, most of our conversation during our meeting was about our journey with Christ. I knew that Clay and Brittany had a relationship that has Jesus as the foundation, and I also knew that their wedding would be so full of love and joy for this reason alone.
Clay and Brittany met with the Pastor both separately before the ceremony, it was such a special moment. This was a first for me as a Wedding Photographer, and I loved it. There were moments that I caught myself crying simply because it was so moving! The entire ceremony was magical! I am so excited for the journey of marriage to begin for these two! I know every aspect of your lives are going to be well as long as you have each other.
Brittany, thank you for the coffee and the friendship.
Enjoy a few images from their big day!
